Here it is.. again... yes I believe the island did choose all of these
people, long before the crash. For redemption. Boone, Shannon, Ana
Lucia, Libby, Charlie, etc. etc. Those that died since the crash have
'redeemed themselves' in a way, or have refused to and thus the island
held no purpose for them anymore. Boone - trying to make radio contact
- Shannon in search of Walt - Libby - to help Hurley - Charlie to kick
heroine and commit a self-less act - Ana Lucia and Eko died because
they refused the will of the island to redeem themselves, though Eko
came close. Alas horseshoes and hand grenades. The conflict between
coincidence and fate is at the very heart of the show, so as to the
how - I don't have an answer yet - but for me the most im****tant
question is always...always...why? not how.
