ABC just released the cast list for the upcoming Locke episode (we see
him as a child and again as a teen). But check out the guest list:
Jeff Fahey as Frank Lapidus
Lance Reddick as Mathew Abaddon
Marc Vann as Doc
Kevin Durand as Keamy
Anthony Azizi as Omar
Grant Bowler as Captain Gault
John Terry as Christian Shephard
Holland Rodan as Emily (Locke's mom)
Rebecca Tilney as Emily's mother
Amanda Carlin as ER nurse (Locke's birth?)
Patrick Torres as ER doctor (ditto)
Doug Hutchison as Horace Goodspeed
Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert
Matthew Pederson as physical therapist
Mandy June Turpin as Florence (Locke's foster mother?)
Sarah Duval as Melissa (Locke's foster sister?)
Charles Henry Wyson as John Locke (age 5)
Phil Abrams as Gellert (young Locke's teacher)
Caleb Steinmeyer as John Locke (age 16)
Now, I'm not an expert on cast lists, but it would seem to me that
after the seasonal contract guest cast (Terry, Bowler, Reddick) the
rest of the cast may or may not be listed in the order in which they
appear in the episode. This would seem to make sense with the freigher
guests (Doc, Keamy, Omar) being grouped together and the flashback
guests being grouped together, since they wouldn't share scenes...
Which brings up the two real surprises here: Richard Alpert and
Horace Goodspeed. Assuming Emily is already preggers with Locke in
the first flashback, Alpert and Goodspeed may actually show up LATER
in the episode, either as apparitions or in the actual John Locke
flashbacks. Man, the latter would be a huge GOSH WOW moment, wouldn't
it? :-) Locke is older than Ben, so if Goodspeed shows up before
Locke's birth or just after, it would mean that he was around Emily
BEFORE Ben was born. That gets me wondering if they're going to try
and retcon the whole "Deus Ex Machina" thing about Cooper actually
being Locke's real daddy (unless he was going by another of his many
fake names, there's no "Anthony Cooper" in the cast list)...maybe
Emily actually got preggers on Craphole and was trans****ted off-island
before Locke's birth...
RWG (lots of possibilities here)
