I agree. The game of Risk is a metaphor for the almost larger than
life game that Widmore and Ben are playing out on a grand scale.
Judging from Ms. Hawking's comments, it's possible that the fate of
the entire world depends on the maneuvers of Widmore, Ben and Jacob.
Just as Ben said Alex was just a pawn, all of the Losties are pawns in
this game as well.
