Perhaps the tele****ting (or whatever) process is noticeable to 
outsiders, and they showed up to check on the "flash" (or whatever) that 
they saw in the sky.

Not at all, except perhaps to those who are trying to pigeonhole 
everything into their own preconceived ideas and theories.
