Well, that was...let's just hope it's the calm before the storm. Hard
to top last week, but...really. That blew holes in my theory that
they switched from flashbacks to flashforwards because the
flashforwards started getting boring, because the Kate "trial" episode
and this one were, IMO, almost as boring as any Jack or Kate flashback
episode from earlier season.
The highlights were the creepy Hurley scene and seeing "Christian" in
his white tennies, but those were both expected so there wasn't a
whole lot of surprise there. This was one for the "****ppers," I
suppose. I imagine Kate was talking to Cassidy on the phone, probably
relaying messages from Sawyer about his kid...
Really liked the Rose and Jin lines concerning "Red." They're just
lucky they got a bit of good karma by helping out Jack before Sawyer
gets back to camp with Aaron, 'cause I have a feeling he's gonna show
up with more than just bad words and nicknames for Daniel and
Charlotte...
Soooo, what's up with Smokey, anyway. It only kills helpless pilots
and reformed Nigerian drug lords masquerading as priests? More like
the Craphole bully than any "security system." All bark and no
bite. And people wonder why no one's really scared of it anymore?
I got REALLY bad vibes from the whole "take Claire and leave the baby
behind" thing. Heck, Sawyer didn't even have an "apparition" to help
lead him to the kid. What if a hungry polar bear or boar beat him to
it? Or Sawyer suddenly reverted back to "bad" Sawyer and didn't
wander off in the right direction? I hope someone at the beach camp
remembered to save some DHARMA baby food formula, or that's gonna be
one hungry baby...I think this was my least favorite thing about the
episode and it had a LOT of competition...what kind of island
seperates a momma from her infant?...bad island...
