What struck me as contrived, however, was the change in Jack's attitude
toward Aaron from "The Other Woman" to this episode. In that prior
episode, he couldn't deal with Kate being mom to Aaron, and so Kate
wouldn't let him near Aaron. In this episode, all that got magically
fixed. Even Hurley asked Jack about it, and Jack replied "Oh, I changed
my mind." That's pretty weak writing.
I liked the new gallant Sawyer being so protective of Claire. It goes
together with Kate doing Sawyer that favor.

That was another piece of weak writing. I thought maybe one or two of
the mercenaries might have escaped Smokey by sheer luck. But all of them?

Yeah, I don't know what they're going to do about this.
