Danielle's death was disappointing to me because it's hard for me to
believe that someone as jungle savvy as she was, who has survived
alone on the island all these years, would be dumb enough to grab her
daughter's hand and try to make a run for it under sniper fire. Why
didn't she take Alex, move behind the tree, and wait? She had a gun;
when the snipers approached she could have at least made a stand and
try to pick them off. I just don't believe Danielle would have behaved
that way.
