Exactly what I was thinking. Jack wouldn't just change his mind about
taking care of Aaron for no reason. He must've found out that he's
Aaron's uncle. It's unclear whether Kate knows this or not. Jack's
"but you're not even related to him" can mean so many different things
(Jack knows, Kate doesn't, Jack and Kate both know, or neither of them
know). But, it is most likely that Jack knows and Kate does not -
which would make Jack's situation even more troubling. Hence the
pills - and the need to return to the island.
