Ok, but some people don't seem to acknowledge that sort of thing.  
They see a new show, decide it's crap because the characters are 
this way or that way without giving it a chance. 

Mind you, it depends on the writing also, not just the actors as 
is the case with Homer.  In Voyager and Enterprise, you could 
watch a first season and last season episode and everything would 
still be the same character wise.  Can't say the same for the 
other Trek series or too many other shows.
