You guys are using the "rub the magic genie" approach to prayer.

Prayer is not to bring the godhead in alignment with our wishes. Prayer is
 
to align us with god's.
When prayer is used with that mind set, it is guaranteed to work, every  
time.

Having a hard time defining faith, or think you never need any?
You do.

If you are sure you don't...Think about the next intersection you drive  
through, when your light is green.
In that moment, what did you believe, that you could not touch, taste,  
feel or measure?
