Well, Abaddon had something interesting, telling Locke to go on that
journey in Australia. We had a thread going about Australia being the
key to RISK, but more on-topic, it has always been the key to the
Oceanic survivors, because they needed to get to Sydney to be on that
flight.
Also, The Wizard of Oz (Henry Gale) is about a journey of self-
discovery, where the Cowardly Lion finds he has courage, the Scarecrow
has a brain, and Dorothy always had the means to return home.
In addition, those who were sick get well, whose who were well get
sick, Jack, the man of science, needs faith. Locke, the man of faith
and self-reliance, needs to lean on the science-- and probably the
numbers. About the only thing I think is needed but won't happen is
for Hurley to lose a few pounds, but maybe that's about self-
acceptance and body image.
These things, I think, let us predict with greater accuracy, the
course of future events, if we know how to interpret them. It seems to
me, right up Tdciago's alley, so that why I named the thread for our
Joseph Campbell type guide. But anybody is free to offer their own
ideas.
