Considering "Walkabout," I think we were supposed to be torn between
the science/faith thing. It was pretty much the same kind of
tightrope the producers have been walking since the pilot episode.
On the one hand, we know John Locke has some kind of bizarre "special"
ability that allowed him to walk when he was once crippled. On the
other hand, you don't normally get a kidney match with someone you're
not related to.
RWG (like most things with this show, each has its own appeal to
certain members of the viewing audience)
