This is old ground, but check out wikipedia Biblical entries for Ben
and Joseph (the two sons of Jacob and Rachel). If you substitute
"Locke" for "Joseph," there are some uncanny parallels between the
story of the Biblical brothers and Ben/Locke on Lost. In particular,
their birth order, their sibling rivalry, and Joseph's/Locke's ability
to interpret and be guided by dreams.
