Well of course, that was Locke's joke; it's not like they were going
to change tires.
And this is further evidence that they know it's all fake -- the fact
that they can joke about it. It was all very remniscent of the first
visit to the Black Rock to get dynamite.
Plus, Benry's remark that he wound up woth a spinal tumor and his
duaghter's blood on his hands has now fairly well convinced me that
Alex's death was phony. I already knew the tumor was fake, so the
fact that Benry speaks of both in the same breath tells me the death
was fake too.
