None the less it is highly accurate. If you have any doubts just take any
piece of
data and then compare it to the show. They cite the episodes it happend in
as well.
They even have the transcrips of all the episodes. If anything it is the
canon of the
show, because it only describes what is on the show itself, podcast and
official
statements of the producers and writers. I find it highly reliable. If
there is
anything wrong with any of the data it is soon corrected. Let's take Frank
Lapidus's
course. Here is Lostpedia's synopsis for "The Constant":

2004 - helicopter
Desmond is on the helicopter with Sayid and Frank, looking at a picture of
Penny.
Frank is flying the route that Daniel gave him, and Sayid becomes worried
when it
leads them straight into a thunderhead. They experience some turbulence.
The
turbulence becomes progressively worse and Frank struggles to remain on
the correct
bearing. The helicopter begins to drift from the 305 heading and Desmond
begins
experiencing flashes.

Here is the transcript:

On the helicopter, DESMOND is looking at the photo of himself and PENNY.
FRANK is
piloting the helicopter, with SAYID looking on. FRANK is looking at a
piece of
notebook paper with a compass bearing on it.]

SAYID: What's that?

FRANK: Cheat sheet Faraday drew for me.

SAYID: You don't know where your boat is?

FRANK: I know where it is.

[The helicopter begins flying into a thunderhead.]

SAYID: Why are you flying directly into the thunderhead?

FRANK: Why don't you just sit back and let me do my job, huh?

[SAYID turns to look at DESMOND, who is still looking at the photograph.]

SAYID: Is that Penelope? [DESMOND nods.] She told Charlie she didn't know
about this
boat, correct?

DESMOND: Aye.

SAYID: What do you expect to find when you get there?

DESMOND: Answers.

[The helicopter experiences turbulence. There's a lightning strike.]

FRANK: Damn it!

[FRANK struggles to keep the copter steady.]

FRANK: Hold on!

How much you want to bet it matches what we saw? Just double check it with
the video.

Lost pedia is the effort of hundreds of fans checking on each other making
each other
back up what they say with episode cites. You edit something there better
be prepared
to back it up. I am sure it is not perfect, but what is?
