Why not?
"Christian" (or whatever that is) was able to call Vincent, talk to
Vincent, and was even able to pet Vincent.
But yeah, if she's dead, it's probably more likely that she didn't die
till Christian approached her when she and Locke and Sawyer and Miles
were asleep. "Death" came calling--literally.
