You probably don't believe ABC's episode recaps either, but this is
from "The Constant":
"Sayid calls Jack, and tells him something happened to Desmond during
the flight. Faraday tells them they don't know why but coming to and
from the island causes people to become a little confused if they
don't do it just right."
So by your theory, "not doing it just right" is what, going through a
storm? It still seems clear to me that "doing it just right" means
exactly what Faraday said in the previous episode--to stick to the
exact bearing no matter what. And if you don't, you might get "a
little confused". To be honest, I don't see how there can be any doubt
about what he means.
