I think 'ghosts' is too broad a description for explaining everything
that may be going on.
On one hand, whatever it is that Miles apparently communicates with is
invisible and unable to interact with anyone but him, which is pretty
close to the classic description of a ghost (or at least a 'spirit' as
supposedly contacted by mediums).
On the other hand Christian Shepard is something else. Not only can he
interact with the world at large (Aaron, Vincent) but his body is
apparently not where it's supposed to be, which is not traditional ghost
behaviour. It's more akin to reanimation or, at the risk of offending
Christians(!), resurrection.
I see no reason why Claire may not be in the same situation. Unless "the
island" prevented her death as it's supposed to have done with Michael
and the guns, there's no way she should have survived that house
explosion. There's definitely something odd going on.
Of course if we've been misled and for whatever reason Christian never
died in the first place, all bets are off.
