You realize that people who are unrelated to the patient can be kidney
donors, right?

Frainey told Locke there was a 99% certainty that Emily was his
mother. He said no such thing about Cooper.

S1E19 Frainey:  I lifted some hairs from her car and matched them with
your DNA samples. It's 99% certain.

(This doesn't mean that Richard Alpert is necessarily Locke's father,
but I suspect the Losties are going to find out that there's something
similar about the way each of them was conceived.  They have Daddy
Issues for a reason.)
