Would a surrogate mother qualify?

As I just mentioned in another thread, Claire's character was
originally going to be a surrogate mother.  The idea of an implanted
embryo was in the producers' minds from the beginning of the show, so
I don't think it's too much of a stretch to suggest that John Locke
was conceived in some way that was out of the ordinary.
