And my point is that many people seem to expect the treatment of religious

beliefs to be held to a higher standard than other kinds of beliefs. So 
anybody who has ever mocked or criticized someone's belief in aliens or in

the idea that 72 virgins are waiting for them in heaven or that the island

is in a snowglobe would be hypocritical to scold someone else for using a 
term like "goofy fairy stories" in regard to religion. I may mock people's

religious beliefs but I can also take it when someone wants to mock my 
heathen ways.
