Depends what you think "the law" is. Like most of the Bible, it's open 
to a bunch of interpretation and there are tos of contradcitions.

I am simply amazed at how you (and others) automatically look for and 
accept the negative interpretation or view whenever there is a choice.

I'm not here to defend the Bible and this thread has gotten way off 
track. I just need to call out those who I perceive are viewing the 
world through the dogmatic lenses of politics rather than with an open 
mind.
