MBC- is there a Techno Geek in the house

by "Melanie" <ImKukie@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Aug 26, 2005 at 06:53 PM

Do U guys remember Waaaaaay back when
I went missing from action for a while because I had to replace my
computer.
Well let me jog your memory, It was about 7 years ago....

Looks like that time is upon me now yet again....
This time however I hoping for minimal interruptions

My hard drive is making a lovely clicking noise
Nice beat - easy to dance to but way to repetitive

I've been getting the "Blue Screen" weekly for about a year & 1/2 now
& I have already had my computer to the overhaul Doc in town who basically
said to get what I am looking for it would be cheaper to buy a new
computer
than to upgrade this one. As a matter of fact I believe he said I can kiss
a
DVD RW upgrade goodbye if I stick with this unit.

So I have been looking at a few & I just would like some feedback if you
have an opinion.

I (while my computer lets me) am shopping for a Laptop.
Why? I like tiny & compact & LOVE ****table.
You know when I am roughing it in the woods camping, it would be nice to
have movies & e-mail :-)

So far there are 2 I have been looking at

ession.new=Yes&BV_SessionID=@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
 computers current specs are:
IBM APTIVA
AMD-K6 3D processor
312 MB RAM (system resources currently 79% free)
I've got abt 10? GB hard drive (I upgraded from 4 so I am not 100% what I
have)
CDRW drive 16x

I want faster performance - stupid thing locks up all the time - off line
content takes forever - forget about streaming anything (video) its all
achy
beaky erkin me off.
I want to be able to burn DVDs & CDs & view files online like those
hilarious commercials & listen to music while typing in my blog or
viewing/loading pages online with out it sounding like I am driving over
severely rough terrain & the CD player can't find it's way back. At one
point I'd like to put my Photoshop back on the computer. I took it off
because it kept locking things up & I would lose what I was doing.

You know what I'm talkin about????
Got any ideas for me??
