When a long-running sitcom ends, I always point to the show 'Family
Ties' and what how the CAST wanted the show the end: (seriously) They
didn't ever want one of those sappy family reunions in the future, so
they wanted the Keaton family to die in a plane crash!
Of course, NO demand there for a FT reunion! lol But I think it would be
one of THE boldest things on TV you could do is to have say, The Taylors
from 'Home Improvement' or The Camdens from '7th Heaven' going on some
family trip somewhere and you THINK all is well and the second last
scene be the family experiencing airplane problems as it goes down and
the LAST SCENE EVER is an arial view of a crashed, burnt-out airplane on
the side of a snowy mountain as you hear nothing but wind as they fade
to black. Chyron the screen: R.I.P., [blank] family.
