As we all know none of us who post to this group have a life. If we
did we'd be so busy slurping gin tonics with Warren Buffit and others
of his ilk we wouldn't have time to click the mouse.
Now Cj here is the question or should I say questions I'd like to ask
you. Both of them concern comics, one a Black man, the other a Jewish
woman. They, although not making it big(Like Rosanne Barr or nFlip
Wilson) were none the less staples on the variety shows that
flourished in the late 60s and early 70s.
To begin with:
The black man,who appeared a lot on the Ed Sullivan show(and others)
was a very thin man in his forties and his tag line was,at the end of
every punchline,"Oh Yeah!!!)
In the case of the Jewish woman,I associarted her with the Mike
Douglas show, although she might have appeared on others. She did a Bob
Newheart like routine pretending to talk on the phone. The one on thew
other end was always a woman friend of hers called Ceille.
This two funny people were a part of my life and yours and anyone else
that has the bragging rights to call themselves "BABYBOOMERS." At one
time, before the need of Kinka Balboa set in,I myself knew the answers
to the questions I just posed you soooooooo if,with either your long
memory or your fantastic Internet skills you could enlignten me I'd
really appreciate it. Thank you!
