it is/was owned by a company called Minute Man Helicopters and is used for
express freight and personel movement.
I was doing some sign work at the local regional airport while a heli
service company was working on an all black Hughes 500. I got to speaking
with the mechanic and he stated this was the Hughes 500 used in the TV
program Magnum P.I.. I quess I raised an eyebrow in a funny way, He looked
at me and said "Don't believe me?? Hold on, I'll get the log books".
And I'll be darned, there it was in black and white. Line after line, book
after book of "Mag PI filming" and "MPI equipment trans".
We have a Toyota Motor Manufacturing Plant here in Georgetown, Ky. We key
suppliers have problems and need to get small parts or people to the plant
ASAP, they are planked to the airport and whirly birded out to the plant
in
TC's old Hughes 500.
