Yes, I've seen both of these but I'm clearly merging the two into a single
storyline ! Good episode. I didn't quite catch all the gags as I was
distracted throughout by a noisy family, but I'll catch the repeat on
Friday for it to entirely settle down. I could have sworn there is some
mention of Malcolm learning to drive in the first episode of season four
though. Unless again I'm thinking of another one !

Entirely possible that it's happened to Reese then. In many ways it's
quite a clever way of them completely avoiding the extra problems and
issues that would be created if Reese could drive.

That's true. I laughed a lot throughout that episode - and then the
driving through the cones finished off with the parallel parking was just
the icing on the cake :-)

I guess they really don't like their fans then if they enjoy driving us
insane in never ending debates about their ages !
