I don't know.  I don't think they are as strict on data like JRR Tolkien
was
in The Hobbit/the LOTR trilogy.  From what I can sense, the approach that
Boomer & co. take to particulars regarding MITM (things like ages,
birthdays, where they live, their last name, etc.) is they don't really
come
out and say anything - they try to keep as tight lipped as possible.  Then
they sort of test their fan loyalty by dropping a hint here or there or
perhaps hide something or pass it extremely subtly in an episode just to
see
who all finds it or what they can get stirred up.  Scents of mystery
worked
like a charm for X-Files when it first got started after all.  ;)
