Season 4 is currently being shown in widescreen on Sky One here. This is
quite a revolution given that Sky One show 99.9% of their programmes in
4x3.

Let's hope they do. I'm convinced season 2 was shown in widescreen on
BBC2. Even for season 1, I seem to remember that being in widescreen too,
although it's entirely possible they showed the pilot in 4x3.

Yes, this is true. The BBC do come good with stuff like this from time to
time. Full widescreen, and no evil logo/DOG. The only thing they do add to
the end credits is a website URL, which they didn't do for season 2's
credits. Occasionally they will talk over the credits too, which is rather
annoying.
It's on tonight: episode 3.17, Dewey's Dog, followed by 3.18, Poker #2.
Sound like decent episodes.
