Trendies sounds like a match to me.

These kids do join the country club, buy their way into Yale or
Harvard. End up as lawyers and doctors, but like I said, more because
of money than intelligence.

I went to school in the UK for a time. I always figured the preppies
were segregated into separate schools, which for some crazy reason
they called 'public'.

I would separate goths and posers. Posers want to think they are
popular in school, goths really don't care outside of other goths.

In the case of the 'cliques' episode they went with the poser
st*****ype of the white kids who try to act like they are black kids
from the 'hood. Into rap, making out like they are the opressed.

Which was cool when they had Kevin talking about the 'oppression' of
society to the black kid who was the preppie. Turning the prejudice
upside down to point out how stupid it is.

True. I was being cynical about the rest, but at my schools (mid-west
and UK for a time) most bullies WERE jocks.
