They probably don't feel a whole lot if they didn't out it back on at 8:30
like they should have. I guess in a way they feel some freedom to do more
(ahem) "adult" things in the show with the later time, and they will - no
matter how many more viewers it costs them.

Maybe as long as Malcolm got a designated driver or recycled the cans he
drank out of, probably. Seriously though I do see what you mean about
some
of the S&P mandates and how hypocritical or duplicit they can seem. A lot
of that stuff depends on the social (and often times political) forte du
jour.

I'd say that is the case. But it does boggle the mind what those in the
television business find abhorrent or harmful and what they don't.

And later the Christmas episode "What is it about this time if year that
gets Mom so upset?".

Maybe slightly sociopathic with regard to his family, yet still the
softest
of the bunch and quite amicable toward everyone else. He managed to being
out the (perhaps not so) inner child in Craig and managed to get all those
people to help him sock it to Hal in the "Baby" episode for giving the
baby
his birthday. Dewey is intriguing like that - mystical to where you don't
know if he is conniving or genuine (though if your last name isn't
Wilkerson, odds are good it's the latter).

In that sense, certainly. And it's scary to think about if you consider
that so many parents parent like this that the show thinks it can viably
do
a social parody on the topic. We won't have to worry about the human race
being destroyed - because in 2-3 generations nobody will reproduce; 75% of
the kids that got the Lois/Dabney's mom treatment will be in their 40's
living at home playing video games all day.

Of course. Cynthia is everything Lois would want for her sons -
controlling, bullying, and can use her looks or "other assets" to
perpetuate
it. You see the way she brought Reese to his knees and the way she has to
have everything her way - she's the Lois of Generation Y.

And chronologically speaking, there could be a chance for Cynthia to
return.
WB only ordered about 6 episodes of The O'Keefes (that other show), and it
was originally sold as a Fall 2002 pilot meaning it was shot in late
2001/early 2002 (about the time her MITM episodes aired), so the deal
there
has long since been done.

Whew...thank goodness. :)

That's why I keep thinking that there is a hidden side of Reese that truly
knows right from wrong and will shy away form the really major things
(like
he backed away from stealing the money from the fast food joint). Maybe
he
likes to spend his energies being more creative or original with his
antics,
or maybe there is a side of him that truly is scared of doing something
too
major.
