I though it was a great episode, they handled the temptation well. I
have to say given he is under age I was unsure how they could even
imply anything had happened, it was no surprise in the event that it
didn't. Although I guess it was unfair on anyone tuning in expecting
that, they did set it up that way, and failing to meet expectations
set up by commercials never boosts a show.
But, taking the episode and ignoring the hype, I loved his expression
when the 'package' hits him in the face, and he works out what it is.
They highlight was his return home, and his contribution to the
thanksgiving meal back home was inspired. I certainly don't think that
made underage drinking seem cool.
And I also liked that he couldn't perform because SHE was drunk. On
the whole a great episode.
Dewey getting the truffles was also a great moment. Dewey really seems
to have stepped up this season, the character is getting a lot more
lines this season, included the superb 'Moral of the story... I'll
screw you over in a heartbeat' a couple a weeks back.
I am still enjoying the show this season so far! And hoping the 'dirty
magazine' and 'hot tub' episodes are similarly carefully handled as
this one.
