I had discovered this group only a few months ago (and the hard way too -
interestingly enough, I went to alt.config to try to have it created) and
was surprised to discover it was created around February 2001 with no
activity. (Apparently the creator of the control file didn't follow up on
getting servers to cooperate.)
Anyway, I have sent Google 2 different emails attempting to get them to
add
the group - so far they have not. Maybe additional emails from other
users
would improve the odds. Since it is sort of the "mother" of all Usenet
sites, getting listed on Google would be a major step toward group
exposure,
since the search capabilities are there.
