The Morgan half of M&W had been the showrunner for the new, improved
"Bionic Woman," which starts on NBC in a few weeks. He has left because
of "creative differences."
From The Hollywood Re****ter:
"Glen Morgan has exited his role as executive producer on NBC's upcoming
drama series "Bionic Woman."
Morgan was an EP alongside David Eick and Jason Smilovic on the series,
from Universal Media Studios. Eick and Smilovic will remain as executive
producers on the show. Morgan, whose exec producer credits include "The
X-Files," apparently wanted to take the series in a different direction
than his cohorts.
Eick's credits include "Battlestar Galactica," while Smilovic was
instrumental in last year's "Kidnapped."
The studio praised Morgan but did not provide a specific reason for his
departure.
"Glen Morgan has helped create a great template for 'Bionic Woman' but
has decided to pursue other endeavors now," the studio said. "We wish
him the best."
The show, which debuts at 9 p.m. Sept. 26, is in the midst of shooting
its fifth episode.
"Bionic Woman," touted as a reimagination of the 1970s series, stars
Michelle Ryan as Jaime Sommers, a bright young woman who is transformed
into a technological marvel. Miguel Ferrer, Chris Bowers, Will Yun Lee
and Molly Price round out the cast."
