I agree, though being born in 1962, I did catch it on the air when it
was on originally a few times.
The thing is that when it was on TVLand a couple of years back, I
found I absolutely loved Steven Hill's character best! It's that
awful?! <g> Here I was at the age of 40 or so when it ran realizing
that although Peter Graves was the man behind MI I'd always known (I
missed out as a kid on the first season), that the better actor for
the role was Steven Hill! Go figure.
But I, too, caught it again in the second series and I liked it very
much though, unlike the original series, the new one felt more
contrived. Did anyone else get that? It's like it was all too
predictible. But that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. I've always
loved sci-fi shows and this one was on the edge of sci-fi.
