I am currently editor and host segment writer for a "Lord of the
Rings" fanfic MSTing. One of the plots we're currently bandying about
is possibly adding Legolas (or another LotR character) to the riffing
team of Mike and the bots in order to get his own unique perspective
on the events in the fic. We could also replace Mike, Tom or Crow
with one or more LotR characters. A favorite among some of our
riffers is the team of Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli. I'm curious to
find out if there are MSTings where either of these events occur in
the course of the fanfic. I have heard of "Justice and Mercy," in
which Oh My Goddess character Urd replaces Mike, and the SporkMan
series by John T., in which a fan-created superhero named SporkMan
riffs alongside Mike and the bots, and later alongside Dr. F and TV's
Frank in the "Evil Mike" alternate universe. Neither of those have
the exact feel I'm looking for, however. I am also familiar with
Amanda van Rhyn's "Middle-earth Science Theater", where Aragorn, Sam
and Frodo riff bad Tolkien-esque stories, but they don't interact much
with Mike and the bots. Are there any other MSTings where the cast
changes mid-fic? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!
