Thanks Marie and Larry.
I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss any scenes. I thought my cable
provider snipped off a scene so that he could have more ads. So long as
what I saw is what everyone else saw, that's ok.
As for the dead stranger, I'm still not convinced he's not the pilot. Joel
and Marilyn were trying to solve the mystery by trying to figure out what
was meant by the note "pick up ****rt". There was also a time indicated in
the note too. Marilyn said there were no dry cleaners in town. Joel
thought
he might have a lady friend who did his laundry but he dismissed that
notion. They couldn't come to a conclusion in that scene but it made me
think the answer must have got something to do with that note.
Then at the end, it suddenly came to me that "****rt" did not mean the
physical clothing but a person. Just like someone might ask about a
businessman - "who's the suit?" So "9am - Pick up ****rt" meant he had an
appointment to pick up a man - like a cab driver's booking. I will only
be
able to resolve this if I watch the episode again and look at the pilot
who
brought Maggie's dad in - whether he was wearing the same plaid ****rt. I
will probably borrow the DVD from my library to watch it again in
December.
Thanks for the time...
Joanna
