Can I rant? I think NX is one of the best shows to ever hit TV. In fact,
it makes TV look good, for once. I usually hate TV. Its the dumbing down
of America. But NX is different. I am reviewing the seasons on DVD and
everything was great, masterpieces of art actually, until Shelly gets
pregnant and then the next show she is singing the corniest
broadway-like tunes. I don my top hat and tux and then thrust a cane
right into my ear. I cannot stand it! This schtick opposes the realism
that was in the show. No one would just sing to people like that in real
life, and real life is the context of the show. So for me, it ruins the
episodes when she is singing. It makes me wonder what was the motivation
for doing this? Was the producer worried the actress Cynthia was going
to quit if she couldnt have some singing parts? It doesnt fit the show
and Im mad about it. Thank you for listening.
