Original music, but sadly, they're showing the the syndicated version
with commercial cuts - inserting PBS ads (which are at least short - 1
minute or so). I was going to replace my VHS copies (from syndication)
with these using my DVR, but it didn't seem worth it after I saw what
they were doing. I think they are nearly done with their second run
through of the whole set.
Hmmmmmm .... maybe this winter I'll give it a whirl again. It's a good
time of year to watch N-Exp (inside, sheltered from the cold, fire in
the fireplace, pint of beer on the end table). I have not watched an
episode in years now (you know how that goes ... after seeing them all
several times in succession). It sure would be nice if enough time had
passed that I could actually enjoy another run through. I don't know,
though. I may have to wait another decade or two for the "Oldtimer's
syndrome" to set in and then I can watch them anew. τΏΤ¬
Another option I keep hanging onto is getting Art's set and hoping the
extra minutes per episode I've never seen will keep me entertained (I
didn't start watching until the original run was about over).
