Continue the series and if Jerry Mc'onnell and Charlie Mconnell are
unwilling or unavailable to continue the series
they could change things. The last scene Rembrant goes through an
iffy wormhole. If they could get him back he could return to his Earth
and drive the Kromaggs from it. Since he can't go back to the world
he came from with the Revelations he is stuck rebuilding his home and
with no way to send a message that he is okay.
Meanwhile the rest of the crew stays on the Revelation world with a
need to resolve some issues
e.g Mallory and Quinn could either learn how to restore each physical
body or an Alternate Quinn Mallory or
even his evil female version could land on Relevation world and spice
things up. There are many possible ways to spin the story. These are
just a few ideas.
What I can not understand is how Dr. Who a similar formula series
survives decades and yet Sliders which has much more variables and
possibilities just ends in a few short years.
I blame the writers who left the series in an incomplete state. It
still has a lot of potential.
Maybe they should start it again through comic books since the
producers etc.. gave up on it far too early it seems
They had a choice they could have ended it at Earth Prime or they
could have expanded it to new absurd adventures
and groups. After all the ideas of exploring imaginations can be
endless but the writers would have to have imaginations I guess. With
Dr. Who its time and space. With Sliders its alternate
realities(dimensions) Why not
add space travel to it as well and just land the sliders in really
weird situations keeping the Kromaggs behavior variable provides a lot
of options and interactions. I really do not understand why the
writers did not see this.
If Iron man could become a major movie sell out how could it be that a
formula allows social interactions and mishaps and the like to
entertain audiences for much longer time. The writers failed the show
when they wrote the characters into a box. It formula is infinite
maybe the writers just had too much to think about.
Lame shows are in abundance. The SciFi channel shows mostly monster
movies or now reality shows about ghosts when they are not showing
infomercials late at night. If it is not monsters its catastrophe
shows.
Adventures of time travelers and scientists do not come up too often
without violence. They need more comical and dramatic Sci-Fi shows.
Better writers would make a universe of difference
