The DVD Player should have these aspect ratio settngs
1- Pan & Scan (full screen sides cropped for 4x3 T.V.)
2- Letter Box (Letter box with black bars top and bottom for 4x3 T.V.)
3- 16 x 9 (wide screen for 16x9 T.V.)
With an anamorphic dvd
Your DVD Player should be set to 16 x 9
Your HDTV TV should be set to 4:3 FULL
With an regular dvd
Your DVD Player should be set to 16 x 9
Your HDTV TV should be set to 4:3 NORMAL
