The main reason that HD DVD was a flop outside the US is because the
local greedy To****ba distributors hiked up the prices to those of
the Blu-ray equivalents and showed no sign of dropping the player
prices like they did in the US. Here in NZ To****ba is still listing
the entry level players at US$874 which is the price set about 8
months ago..
