You can save substantially by buying from reputable online merchants,
particularly if you live in an area that has a sales tax. Amazon is
probably the most reputable of all.  I saved over a thousand dollars
on my Sony XBR by buying online.

A few things to keep in mind; 

* In most cases (with Amazon being one of the few exceptions) barring
any obvious ****pping damage, if you have a problem with the set you
must take it up with the manufacturer, through the warranty. It's not
like BB or CC, where you can get a speedy replacement.

* You can almost always get free ****pping.
