Assuming you are using coaxial cable for all connections, the following
connection path should should work:

1. Antenna to converter box input.
2. Converter box output to 2-way splitter input (be aware of 3dB signal
attenuation inherent to many if not all unamplified splitters).
3. 2-way splitter output 1 of 2 to TV input; 2-way splitter output 2 of 2
to
VCR input.

Also refer to your manual to find out which channel your TV and VCR will
need to be tuned to for the converter box (e.g., channel 3).
