It depends. If you want to watch 1 show and record another at the same
time then you'll need 2 converter boxes. One for the TV, and another to
the VCR. If you just want to record or watch 1 show at a time then you
will only need one converter. You can hook it up to the VCR via rf and
then to the TV via A/V cables or visa verse, or several other ways. It's
your choice.
