I eventually found the article at the original site.  It was just badly
programmed.  If you follow links to the article, it works.  If you use
the URL you get following the links, as an entered URL, it does not work.
Apparently their web site is checking the referrer URL (the one the
standard
misspelled with only one "r" where there should be two).  They should do
that
for images and stylesheets and such, but not for articles.  Turns out that
removing the query data (the "?" and what follows), also makes it work.
