It IS personal with me. "Screwing somebody back" violates my personal
moral code. I try not to screw with anybody. When somebody screws with
me, I don't get upset - but I don't do business with them any more,
either. I've been self-employed since the age of 12 - 46 years. I deal
with local people, people that I know I can trust, and that know I can
be trusted to deal with them in an honorable manner. I treat my
customers the way I want to be treated, and I get treated that way in
return. It's a great business policy, good for the bottom line and in
the long run, costs little. People seek my business out, because they
know they won't get screwed. When times are hard I do well, while my
competitors, the ones who cheated people, fold up. I've seen it time and
time again.
To anybody still reading this thread: I'm sorry to take this debate so
far off-topic. I could keep going for weeks, but I won't. This is not
the place for it. Jer, I'm sure you have a comment concerning the above,
so I give you the last word. If somebody directs a question at me, I may
answer it, I may not. It depends on the question. However, my intention
is to stop here.
