I noticed this too, about two weeks after I got my "coupon" from ye
olde government they just disappeared.  However, two weeks later
(today), Wal-Mart had plenty of the RCA unit it stock (but nary a
Magnavox) and I picked one up for my parents.  I figured the coupons
started hitting mailboxes and pulled down the stock quickly, and
they're just getting caught back up.
