Perhaps this thread should be subtitled, "What About Bob".
I bought my first HDTV about 20 months ago. I wasn't an EE major, so
I never even heard of COFDM or 8VSB. But I joined this news group
because I wanted to learn more about HDTV.
One user used to get on a soap box about how the USA made the wrong
decision about choosing 8VSB. He was constantly and consitantly
preaching that television was doomed because of the FCC's decision. I
was tired of his preaching and, obviously, so were a lot of people.
And then, about 6 months ago, he disappeared. Has he finally realized
that 8VSB is the law of the land? Has he given up on his COFDM
business plan? Whatever happened to Bob?
