My standard-def DVD is aliasing on my HDTV

by littletoyboat <littletoyboat@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 29, 2008 at 05:50 PM

I finally put The Simpsons Movie into my (standard-def) DVD player to
watch it on my brand new Sony Bravia HDTV.

If I'm having aliasing issues on other DVDs, I haven't noticed them.
It might just be that the lines on the Simpsons characters are so
strong that the aliasing is more pronounced.

The weird thing is, the aliasing goes away when I pause the DVD. When
the picture isn't moving, the lines are perfectly straight.

The DVD player (also a Sony) is connected to the HDTV via component
RCA cables.

What can I do to fix this problem?
